Bruce Willis to Return as John McClane in Die Hard 4
Source: Variety Monday, October 13, 2003

20th Century Fox has hired Mark Bomback to write Die Hard 4, which centers on the continuing adventures of rogue hero John McClane. Pending approval of the script, Bruce Willis would return in the role and produce through his Cheyenne Productions.

Bomback wrote the upcoming Godsend, starring Robert De Niro and Greg Kinnear, for Lions Gate Films. The scribe also worked with Cheyenne on Reunion, The Tourist and Me Again.

Fox envisions the film as a tentpole that could resume the franchise.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

I just saw Casablanca. Rick Blaine was definitly a badass before motherfucking was even invented. He also wins at best cig smoking.
Peter Lorre was pretty badass too.
If the make that remake (which they shouldn't) Steve Buscemi should play his character.

Good call.  If they must create a remake....blech.
more than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. one path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. the other, to total extinction. let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly.
