Ugh... Newman was the best thing about the first one and there wasn't much else phenomenol about it. I guess it really is true you have to take the bad with the good, even with Pixar.

Currently at 33% on rotten tomatoes.  The first rotten movie Pixar's ever had.  I'm still debating whether or not I'll see it in the theatre.

I've heard mixed things. At first, surprisingly good things, but now mainly the "not really very good, but being Pixar it's still head and shoulders above the rest" vein.

My favorite comment: "Cars 2 is the rare sequel that retroactively justifies the original."
He held on. The dolphin and all the rest of its pod turned and swam out to sea, and still he held on. This is it, he thought. Then he remembered that they were air-breathers too. It was going to be all right.

it's not a crime against humanity. it's a movie for 3 year olds. smart people is not supposed to like it. the end.
