wtf? lol @ xixax awards

boo-urns to two things:

1. melanie laurent for best actress?? come on she's supporting.

2. not nominating breaking bad and weeds.

kudos for its always sunny thou.

modage

I couldn't be happier with these nominations.  I don't think the crop of Best Picture candidates has ever matched up so closely with my own nominations.

The toughest voting category for me is BEST TRAILER because they are all so goddamn good.  (Watch them again, seriously.)

Great job, everyone.  :bravo:
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Pubrick

amazing noms this year, very few categories are already decided.

a word on performances:
as every year, females need to pick up their game cos like in almost every sport the men are the most exciting to watch. in particular i'm exicted most about the best male noms. two massive front runners, two strong dark horses, and just one space-filler. that's gonna be tough to call.

a word on technical categories:
this year you freaks even found a way to make visual FX a nail biter! the three front runners are so strong that no matter who wins it'll result in two huge upsets. even if i could campaign (wait, can we?) i wouldn't know which to push. i'm sweating in the panties my mother laid out for me just thinking about it.

a word on CMBB:
even tho it might seem like the front runner you freaks somehow filled out the category with the ONLY films that could possibly pose a real challenge. there are some hardcore xixax favourites right there.. if these films were dogs, i'd pay to see that fight. (of course they'd just be cute as hell puppies, and the fight would consist of them all just tumbling over each other and generally being adorable until everyone watching would walk away to spread a message of peace and love to the world.)

MAN, THAT WAS HARD!

Great noms, guys!  Put the Oscars to shame and made it seem like a pretty decent year.

The hardest was best Trailer!  Besides A Single Man, all of those trailers are some next level shit.
It's hard to separate awesome trailers from the possible disappointment had once the movie came out, but I think my vote is truly what I think the best trailer is.

Are we still allowed to final vote if we didn't finish and turn in our nominations?

I know I have no room to talk but I wish Breaking Bad or Friday Night Lights took Curbs spot on TV Shows. This season of Curb was awful.

For the record, anyone and everyone can vote, regardless of participation in the nominations.

EDIT: Yeah, what Mac said.

so i sent in my votes to the person i was suppose to and i don't have it sitting in my outbox or anywhere else in my messages. does that mean it didn't go through?
the one last hit that spent you...

Pubrick

sounds like it, but you should maybe ask the person you sent it to in a separate PM.

I'm assuming you didn't check the box to "Save a copy in my outbox."

Am I the only one who finds a lot of these noms to be a tragedy?  I mean, I guess I should expect some sort of deviation from my own personal list, or maybe I should be thankful that each category will be easier to select from, but damn.

Also, no Peep Show in Best TV?   :yabbse-thumbdown:
