I just knew the answer for one or two. All those movies are american, yes?
So far they seem to be. Thinking about the style of the film, the clothes, the colors, particular recognizable costumes or archetypal shots all go a long way to figuring these out.
are these from Scene It? the movie game has shots like this with the actor removed where you have to guess the movie.

Hi all, here's another quiz, if you have office excel all titles must be written in english and you'll get to know whether you guessed right or wrong, JB was kind enough to upload the quiz so everybody can access it without problems, there are two versions of it in case some ppl don't have office.
Excel version (http://xixax.com/moviequiz/moviequiz.xls)
HTML version (http://xixax.com/moviequiz/)
Many thanks to Mac and JB for they made this possible.

23. I missed a couple of really obvious ones.
26.
26 also...
25/30. (lot better than i thought i'd do).
least we all got in the 20s.
26
didnt get 8,9 (or see them) or 22 (which i swore was apocalypse now) or 24.
which ones didn't you all get? if we're all missing the same ones then whoever gets those is the truly Champion of the Universe.
23. :yabbse-undecided:
But of the seven that I missed, I only saw two (#22 and 23) and I didn't like either one.

Got 25 right.
Missed 8, 9, 17, 18 and 23 - from those I didnt see 8, 9 and 17 anyways....
i missed some really obvious ones, too. major brain fart. 17
29... Goddamn number 8 did me in...
50 Dark Movies Hidden in a Painting (http://us.mms.com/us/dark/index.jsp)
I did this in about 38 minutes.
Late, but with the movie quiz I got 25. Couldn't get 8, 9, 15, 18, 24.
EDIT: Look at the Wall of Fame for the painting. How it possible to do this is 1:41? even if you already figured them all out and are simply typing them in.
I'm at 46 out of 50. I'm stumped on the kids dancing in the foreground, the mother with 2 kids behind them, and the (what I take to be) butterflies at the far right. I don't even know where the last one is.
Don't give any answers yet but, of those three, are they ridiculously easy/obvious because I've been overthinking a lot of them and when I finally figure it out, I feel like an idiot.

at least one of them is ridiculously easy... I just started, but I got one of those right away, the others I haven't.
Without giving anything away, keep in mind that once you know what you're looking at and say it out loud, you can just apply that word to movie titles (and they're not all horror films).
I found where the last one is but I have no clue what that is either.
What's funny is that I've now spent more time agonizing over these last 4 than I did working on the first 46.
There were 2 I got stuck on and couldn't solve. One was because I thought the object was something COMPLETELY different.
I finally got them... at least two are not really horror films and ONE is kind of out of left field (although scary)
Being extremely literal will help you solve them. There were a couple that took me forever to figure out though.
I had to cheat after an hour.
Me too... of the 4 I missed, one I should have gotten, one had a slight cultural bias that would keep most Americans from getting it, one I forgot was a movie completely, and the last one I definitely would have gotten but I clicked on a nearby object that also offered an answer prompt so I was focusing on that instead.
A-minus isn't bad.
the link dosen't work anymore :yabbse-sad:
How well do you remember the 2006 year in movies?

Good work! Highly impressive performance. Just a few more hours spent in a darkened room could have secured you the top marks.

Not disastrous, but you've got a ways to go before you can claim to be a cinephile.
