i just bought the Lion King DVD and i was totally blown away! there was also a differnt storyline on it and i totally loved that too! and another thing  is that i realized just how seductive grown-up Nala can be!! oh my! did you see her working her thang all up on grown-up Simba's Kool-Aid!! but anyway, yeah it was masterpiece better than chocolate milk. i reccomend it to everyone. it calls to the inner lion inside all of us to reclaim our pride and totally throw our deceiving uncle scar off a cliff and let hyenas rip him to pieces!!

I might pick this up.

Anyone giving a second motion?

Get Sleeping Beauty first.

I didn't care for this movie even when I was little.  I guess it was those songs.  One of my elementary school music teachers made us sing Hakuna Matata over and over.    :x

edison

what torture, that must have really sucked, its almost as bad as a theater arts teacher making us do the macarena over and over

Comparison shots of the LD and the DVD someone posted on alt.video.dvd.  Here are the links, since I don't want to eat up the guy's bandwidth.

what is up with this shit? why do i feel the need to buy this movie when i see the commercials. i've had no desire to watch it since it was in theaters but disney feels the need to make you feel like you need it to survive. i finally came to my senses when i realized disney hasn't made a great movie since the jungle book, when walt died. so fuck the lion king. fuck it right up its stupid fucking ass.

Copy the URLs into your browser instead of clicking the links.  These shots show the redrawn crocodiles in the DVD.  This must be the IMAX version instead of the original theatrical cut.

Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
