QuoteAlone in her attic bedroom, teenager Casey becomes immersed in an online role-playing horror game, wherein she begins to document the changes that may or may not be happening to her.

"A number of performers appear in various real and staged YouTube videos, including Theo Anthony, Evan Santiago, May "NyxFears" Leitz, and the ASMR content creator Slight Sounds. Had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on January 31, 2021. Utopia will release the film in U.S. theaters early 2022 and HBO Max has licensed U.S. streaming rights. "

My 2nd most anticipated film at the moment, behind Kansas'.

Philip K Dick's social and scientific concepts, those volumes of work, can't be separated from his amphetamine abuse, his childhood, or the empathy and compassion he had for everyone in his life. The addicts in his life that he'd house and dedicate works to. This inclination toward fiction, and music, and a lifetime around drugs led to a hallucination and fugue state communion with VALIS/Zebra.

We're All Going to the World's Fair creates an interesting dance that emphasizes the internet as organ. Medium, sure, but an extention of mind and body both.

"The schizophrenic is a leap ahead that failed."
"To remember and to wake up are absolutely interchangeable."
"All that is colossal is fraud."
"The physical universe is plastic in the face of mind."
- PKD

Cyberrealms, as long as they remain uncommodified and free-to-morph, allow us a shared space of concept and identity that cannot be separated from technology. We peer at communities and mechanisms engineered through sheer imagination and will, collective and unending. Anna Cobb's performance, alongside Jane Schoenbrun's script, understands the joy of this unfettered expression. Properly ambiguous, roleplay to a degree that's dangerous and liberating, both.

I love independent cinema. I love pixels and chatrooms and the freedom of the upload. Yes, it can lead to the toxicity and hate of anonymous boards. All free expression risks danger. Niels Bohr translated his understanding of quantum physics into a philosophical worldview that he named "Complementarity."

"Bohr was not satisfied to limit the idea of complementarity to physics. He saw it everywhere: instinct and reason, free will, love and justice, and on and on. He understandbly saw it in the work at Los Alamos too. They were building a weapon of mass destruction that would defeat fascism and end all wars - but also make it possible to end all civilization." - Kai Bird

The Internet as an invention, as realm, as an organ through which we communicate and interact, it hit us so quickly we had no time to introspect all its contradiction and complements. We roleplay now across profiles through apps and sites at our will.
How will you shape your who?

"Since time is the true receptacle of being (for the organism) anamnesis equals  awareness  of  the  organism  as  such:  a  seeing  of  the  more  or  less complete entelechy;  and  amnesia  equals  blindness,  since  to  be  seen  the organism  must  be  seen under  the  aspect  of  time  —  in  terms  of  temporal extension. Hence, only by understanding this can one comprehend the absolute value  of memory, and comprehend it as  a  perception or organ  of perception, like  ocular  vision, not  metaphorically  but  literally  an  organ  of  perception. Ocular vision is  perception of the organism in space; memory (anamnesis)  is perception of it in time, and it is in time (more than space) that its true nature (being)  extends." - PKD
