Title: "Hard Eight" deleted scenes
Post by: filmcritic on June 26, 2003, 05:14:23 PM
I always thought that deleted scenes usually tell things about characters that you can't find in the film. This one deleted scene on the "Hard Eight" DVD, but there are many you can find here...http://www.ptanderson.com/featurefilms/hardeight/deletedscenes/main.htm
Although I'm glad that they were are all taken out, it's interesting to read them. It would have been even more interesting if they were kept in.

Was the last scene in Sydney actually shot?  The scene where Sydney gets shot?  Certainly would have been interesting to include, although I can't imagine a better ending shot than the one it already has.  So for that purpose I'm glad the intended ending scene wasn't included.

"The Turd Story."  If that's for real, it's priceless.  I'll never look at PTA the same again.  :-P

Quote from: mogwaiI think Rysher took the last reels of the last scene and burned it.

Why would they do that?
