Axolotl

(Based on the first 2 episodes that I've seen) This and Succession have been depressingly sparse oases in the dismal streamified desert of mediocrity that has been the ongoing bronze age of television.

(It's better than the trailer suggests)

I thought it was terrific and surprising, given how saturated the market feels with all these narco stories. The scope never gets in the way of the individual stories, and it has some pretty spectacular set pieces. The mexican parts felt more realistic than usual, and actually the mexican actors (the soldier and the girl) are the standout among a solid cast.
