Dave Jackson's CAT SICK BLUES - Letterboxd + IMDB

This film caught me by surprise. My friend (xixax lurker Raptoroblivion) and I finished watching Benedetta and he asked me if I was down for a double-feature and if I was down for ~ anything ~ . Of course, I'm game. But what I didn't expect was that I'd watch a film so close to what I aspire to create.

I nearly posted about this very sick indie effort in our HORROR thread, but it deserves its own space. Watch it knowing as little as possible - I promise you'll want to experience it blind.

An ode to Slasher-Horror and its expression of human strife, fixation, carnal excess. Hats off to the entire cast & crew. It never lets you down, the costumes, production design, props, cinematography, music, every piece comes together professionally.

Extremely fucked up, and funny. Critiques contemporary culture without feeling like it's on a soapbox. A movie I totally expect to revisit with a studious eye.
