I painted this a few months ago. It's oil on an 11x14" canvas panel.

That's pretty good I must say. Simplistic, in a Van Gogh sort of way. I really adore Van Gogh because he can paint extraordinary things by just taking a scenery that seems not so important to most people and painting it regardless of how people see it, like "Ears of Wheat" "Field of Poppies" "Child with Orange" It's just random things that inspired him. I love it. And your painting kind of reminded me of that. I'd like to know, what inspired you to paint it?

Well, I did the trees first, and once I decided they weren't going to have branches, I knew I had to simplify the rest. What inspired me? I've always had an attachment to lakes, and I was excited to do something small scale and simplified.
