this looks good. i can't wait.
Cary Grant.
:yabbse-thumbdown:
Eva Marie Saint is fucking hot as hell. I'll see this one just for her.

I saw this already. It was pretty good but it got weird when planes started falling out of the sky.
that trailer was so boring. and i cant believe that guy showed off the poster during the trailer.. haha i mean really. he even says "and now for the climax of our tour"..
looks okay i guess.
seriously guys, this is, like, the worst movie i've seen all year, perhaps of all time... although it definitely not as bad as
Gerry. god, what the fuck was with that shit? anyway, here are some concise and cleverly titled points as to why. grr i'm so ANGRY!!!
reason i did not like the film 1: all that fucking MUSIC. shit man... it's so obvious it's going for suspense and thrills. WE GET IT!!!
reason i did not like the film 1a: all that attempt at suspense? not suspenseful. this goes beyond just the music, too.
reason i did not like the film 2: cary fucking grant is so bad. all he does is run around for the entire film, and nothing else! no conventional character stuff for me to bite my teeth into. fuck that shit, man.
reason i did not like the film 3: omfg the PLOT. THE PLOT is so fucking ridiculous. the plot sucked, dude. films need better PLOTS. by now they should realize that films are nothing without a good PLOT.
reason i did not like the film 4 that makes everything i just said that much more pointless:I FUCKING HATE ALFRED HITCHCOCK. he's a bigger hack than brett ratner, or i'm going to say that anyway because everyone on xixax thinks so... about ratner, anyway -- everyone seems to LOVE the hitchCOCK. i actually loved
Rush Hour 2. back to the point, that guy hasn't made a good movie in his LIFE, and this definitely is not an exception. he built his career on, like... being fat, and making pretentious trailers for movies that suck. if i may be so bold, i would say that alfred hitchcock is the pavement, yes, the PAVEMENT, of directors.
if anyone comes on here and posts about how good this film is, well, to quote a good friend of mine:
Quote from: a good friend of minei will fight you.
this isn't even about a difference of opinion. this movie is just BAD, as i have just scientifically proved. F for FUCKING SHIT, which is exactly what this movie is. if fucking was spelled "F-UCKING" i would've given it an F-. fuck you, alfred hitchcock... fuck you.
c'mon, the plane was cool.
This Alfred Hitchens guy should be banned from making movies.
He was officially banned from the world on april 29th 1980.
Wow, that trailer is fucking disappointing. Looks like Hitchcock fucked this one up.
After this one, they'll be calling this guy the next Kubrick.

The look on his face is interesting. He seems to be focused on something in a way that you wouldn't be if there was a plane behind you. Like he's thinking "Is that dog poop?" or "is that a quarter?" or "Did I leave the gas on?"
It's entirely inappropriate. You guys must be right, this whole film seems misdirected.

Hahaha. Nice reveal.

I think Pas was talking about this:

Summer of 2K + 6!
How unoriginal.
This movie looks like a rip-off of the John Woo classic, Paycheck with a dash of Silver Streak. Plus the airplane scene looks stolen from the helicopter chase in From Russia With Love. And the score... totally sounds like Re-Animator. :elitist:
i seriously feel like huging modage right now.
agreed.
i seriously feel like punching brazoliange right now.
agreed.

Ok, look you guys, you always criticize new movies... well I say give this one a chance!
I mean Hitchcock is new to the game (isn't this his debut film?). Let's cut him some slack. I know it's a bit sloppy here and there, but overall I feel that this could be the start of a good career. I at least see a follow up film...
Oh, and I don't know if this belongs in the Grapevine, but I read somewhere that Hitchcock is in pre or post production for a remake of that Gus Van Sant movie about Norman Bates and whatever.

Seriously. P, don't make him minisilias, if u do...Oh, I'd be sooo mad. :-D

Just looking at these pictures is one of the most intense cinematic experiences of my lifetime. No but, come July 17 (1959) , North by Northwest being a great movie or North by Northwest being a good movie, it is clearly going to fucking light the celluloid from which it comes on fucking fire. That much is obvious.
Hitchock making this movie cements him as a ballsy director, and it also is this big obvious statement that clever and capable directors need to be doing edgier material and not Batman Begins.
Batman Begins is a masterpiece.
Fuck.
DVD will release on August 29, 2000.

I'm beginning to think that this film is Cary Grant being chased by a crop duster for 90 minutes.
I like crop dusters.
ohhh we're all funny now.
I'm more pumped for the critically acclaimed sequel...
