This is a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. Currently in pre-production, begins shooting in 2022, set for a summer 2023 release.

We're starting to get some details. As George Miller says in that clip, it's a saga that spans many years, a prequel focusing on Furiosa's earlier life. This will be the most expensive film ever shot in Australia, with a budget of more than $350 million.

Stars Anya Taylor-Joy (as the titular Furiosa), Chris Hemsworth (likely in a prominent co-starring role, since they're really putting him out there), & Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
