I'm not usually any good at predicting things like this, so we'll see how these do.
i'd like to see adaptation nab all of the awards it's nominated for (and to see what charlie says when they present the award to him and donald).
yea
i wish PDL would crash the party
Quote from: mogwaiI want Adam Sandler to win the Golden Globe.
Me too
I want Kaufman and Cooper to win for Adaptation. I love Jonze and it would be great for him to win, but I would have no complaints if Payne won for best director. Though I've said before I didn't really like the movie as a whole, Adaptation is the one I like best out of the musical or comedy category. I want Sandler to win for PDL. I want Bates to win for Schmidt (I can't wait to hear "and the nominees are... Queen Latifah!"). Don't really care about any of the drama best pictures this year, but I guess I'll say Schmidt, just because. I haven't seen ANY of the movies with the best actresses in a drama so I can't say. Day Lewis should definitely win for Gangs, because he was awesome.
Overall, I'm really not impressed with the nominees. I suppose this year wasn't a great year for movies after all.
there is no way adaptation will beat out 'greek wedding' or 'chicago' for the picture award...

How true and how sad.
well, they're going on right now... I'm not watching... tv's not even on.
GGs really suck... I mean, the Oscars are "bullshit" and all, but at least they're slightly fun to watch.

Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper won Golden Globe awards for their supporting roles in the film "Adaptation."
Too bad Cage didn't. What a disappointment :(
good stuff
Pedro Almodovar winning for TALK TO HER (I love that movie). And when he dedicated his award to "everyone who fights for peace and isn't afraid to say it" ... that was great.
Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper winning for Adaptation
Jack Nicholson winning for About Schmidt, although he should have saved the valium for his Oscar speech.
Bono getting away with saying "fuck"
bad stuff
Richard Gere winning over Adam Sandler
Miramax taking over the world
Charlie Kaufman not winning
All that TV stuff
Julianne Moore not winning for Far From Heaven
I guess I have to see "The Hours" now

i thought brendan fraser handled his 'please salute me' mistake pretty well, colin ferrel swearing is always a good thing, and jeff golbdmbludmb's mistakes crack me up
Those kind of moments at award shows are my favorite too. I also rather enjoyed that foriegn film guys speech.
