Everyone Else was the worst movie I've seen all year.  And I Am Love was close.

It PAINS me to see them above Toy Story 3 and Inception.  :yabbse-angry:
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

I like ILAM's idea of a P4K rating scale. I think it's a good scale. I hate just a basic 5-star rating scale and it's even worse when you can't get half-stars. 10-point may be pompous and narcissistic, but dammit if it doesn't work so well.

So far this year.

Let Me In - 8.9
Toy Story 3 - 8.8
Un Prophet - 8.5
Inception - 8.5
127 Hours - 8.4

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - 6.9
Scott Pilgrim vs The World - 6.9

Kick-Ass - 5.5
Never Let Me Go - 5.3

Have we decided if we're putting Mother in 2009 or 2010?

I won't be able to see any of the hard to find films until prob. early next year when they come out on video. Shame.

This year more than most I've actually watched tons of older stuff and discovered a lot of films. Investing in a PS3/Blu-Ray has really changed the way I watch movies. This year has been great in discovering older stuff.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

Did I miss the discussion on Wild Grass or was there not one?  While not my favorite of the year, it was a pretty awesome experience upon a rewatch.

Also, beyond the greats already covered, did anyone else check out Vincere?
"As a matter of fact I only work with the feeling of something magical, something seemingly significant. And to keep it magical I don't want to know the story involved, I just want the hypnotic effect of it somehow seeming significant without knowing why." - Len Lye

They had a number on Bad Lieutenant with so much praise for the film it almost made me love it less.

Cahiers is a bit weird now
