I think these are our coolest and more diverse nominations yet.

Stefen

No Let The Right One In for best film is really disappointing.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

Yea, considering the other choices, I would have voted for it.

Initially I was quite disappointed that lots of my favorites were missing. But overall it seems there's enough of a mix to keep most people happy enough. Despite the difference in tastes expressed, I can't see the final results being anywhere near diverse. One or two categories are very disappointing.

Heath Ledger not supporting? Can't say I disagree, but what a curveball to throw into that particular group!!
He held on. The dolphin and all the rest of its pod turned and swam out to sea, and still he held on. This is it, he thought. Then he remembered that they were air-breathers too. It was going to be all right.

Second that, although I do think he is supporting, anyway, it's a two horse race now with him and Mickey...

Pas

We are facing a Condorcet's paradox I think in the major categories, where maybe most people put these movies in 2-3-4-5th place so they got up instead of the Xixax favorites.

I will still be able to vote because some (maybe all) of my year favorite are represented somewhere. so that's lucky.

also really, so much love for Milk surprises me. Didn't think it was Xixax-y ... Synedoche tho is so representative of the crowd and I'm glad it's up there in best film.

picolas

yeah i'm saddened by the lack of right one and the love for synecdoche continues to baffle me. otherwise i'm pretty happy with these choices. these may be the toughest xaxies to vote for ever.

Have you voted yet???!!!

Yep...although not having many of my nominations make the cut has me a little less interested in the outcome.
