This show is awesome. If you haven't seen it, it's about Chris Rock's childhood, narrated by Chris Rock. The first episode follows his family moving from the projects to some new neighborhood. It would be a typical Malcolm in the Middle, kid going to school kinda thing, except it's set in the early 80s, they're poor as hell in the inner city, and they use the word nigger. The parents were the biggest surprise to me, they're actually very well developed and very real people. The show holds nothing back about what (I can assume) it was like to be poor and black in NY in the early 80s. And it's funny as hell.

haha how funny, I've forgotten to keep up with this show after lauding the first episode.
