I watched it again a few months ago. Most of the trivial plot conventions felt even more throw away than before, but it made me enjoy the moments between William Hurt and Kevin Costner more. If the film was based on just their relationship, it would be even better. But I am already seeing the film on the lifetime channel so its being relegated to a limited existence. There will be no second life for this movie, but I am glad you enjoyed it because there is some good stuff in here. You just have to ignore a lot of things. Well, at least I do.
