Keifer headbutts designer!!

Kiefer Sutherland has allegedly headbutted a fashion designer and broken his nose. The '24' star reportedly got into an altercation with Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough at an after-party for New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala at nightspot SubMercer on Monday night (04.05.09).

It has been claimed Kiefer approached Jack after seeing him knock actress Brooke Shields to the ground. Kiefer reportedly asked Jack to apologise, prompting the designer to push Kiefer. It is then alleged Kiefer headbutted Jack. However, Brooke's representative has denied she was involved in the incident.

The spokesperson told website TMZ.com: "Nothing happened to her. Jack did nothing inappropriate. It's not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did. Jack did absolutely nothing to her." Police are currently investigating the incident, and Brooke will reportedly be interviewed by officers today (06.05.09).

Following the incident, Jack was taken to hospital where he is still receiving treatment. Kiefer, 42, was jailed for 48 days in 2007 after pleading no contest to driving under the influence (DUI). He is still on probation in Los Angeles following the incident.

Tom Sizemore arrested on drug warrant

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police say they arrested Tom Sizemore on a warrant issued on a court case in Central California.

Officer Norma Eisenman says officers arrested Sizemore and another man after coming across them while responding to an unrelated call early Thursday morning. Sizemore was arrested for an outstanding warrant issued in Bakersfield on a drug case from 2007.

Eisenman says another man who was with Sizemore was arrested on a drug possession charge, but that Sizemore was only booked on the warrant. Jail records show he has been released.

Court records in Bakersfield show that Sizemore's probation was revoked by a judge in April.

Several of Sizemore's one-time managers and an attorney said they no longer represent the actor.

Manager: Burt Reynolds treated for drug abuse

MIAMI - Actor Burt Reynolds has been released from a drug rehabilitation center where he was being treated for an addiction to painkillers, his manager said Wednesday.

The star of "Smokey and the Bandit," "Deliverance" and "Boogie Nights" began struggling after recent back surgery and "realized that he was in the prison of prescription pain pills," his manager Erik Kritzer said in a statement.

Kritzer said in a later e-mail message he did not know when Reynolds entered or left the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach. The facility's management declined comment, citing patient confidentiality.

Kritzer said Reynolds, 73, hopes his story will help others in similar situations and that they won't try to solve the problem by themselves. The actor lives in Hobe Sound, a wealthy beachside community north of Palm Beach County.

In the 1980s, Reynold's career was nearly destroyed when an injury and prescription drug abuse led to false rumors that he was infected with the AIDS virus. He hurt his jaw making the 1984 comedy "City Heat" with Clint Eastwood. Barely able to eat, he lost 50 pounds and looked ill and emaciated.

"For two years I couldn't get a job," Reynolds told the AP in 1990. "I had to take five physicals to get a job. I had to take the pictures that were offered to me. I did action pictures because I was trying to prove that I was well."

He was diagnosed with temporomandibular joint disorder, which affects the area that connects the jaw to the skull and can result in significant pain. Reynolds then confessed to a reliance on the sleeping aid Halcion.

He eventually regained his health and his career, first in the TV series "Evening Shade" and then as the porn movie impresario Jack Horner in the 1997 hit movie "Boogie Nights." He was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe for best supporting actor.

Arrest warrant issued for Randy Quaid in Calif.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Authorities say an arrest warrant has been issued for actor Randy Quaid and his wife claiming they skipped out on a $10,000 hotel bill in Santa Barbara County.

Sheriff's spokesman Drew Sugars said Thursday the Quaids aren't in custody and detectives haven't been able to interview the actor.

He says the warrant for Quaid and his wife Evi set bail at $20,000 each. The felony warrant is for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.

The department isn't releasing other details.

A message left for Randy Quaid's commercial agent, Steven Arcieri, was not immediately returned.

Randy Quaid: "What are you in for?"
Cellmate: "Second degree murder and arson. What about you?"
Randy Quaid: "Defrauding an innkeeper."
Now you're in the *spoiler* place.

Report: Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem Engaged

Oscar darlings Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are reportedly engaged.

According to various online reports, the 35-year-old actress is planning to walk down the aisle with the 40-year-old actor.

"They're telling friends they will get married," a friend of the couple, who reportedly heard the news directly from one of them, told The New York Daily News' Rush & Molloy.

Us Weekly also reported news of the couple's hush hush engagement.

"They tried to keep it very private and quiet," a source told the mag.

After the couple was spotted leaving an OB/GYN clinic in Madrid last month, many blogs and gossip Web sites wondered if the Spanish actress was pregnant - but another friend of the couple told the paper that the couple has shot down reports that she is expecting.

"They say the pregnancy stories aren't true," the friend said.

In August, the actress told Britain's Psychologies magazine that she wasn't sold on taking a trip to the altar, but that she felt strongly about starting a family.

"I don't know if I believe in marriage," she told the mag. "I believe in family, love and children. I want to have babies one day but not right now. When I do it I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life."

Penelope's possible baby project might be unclear, but her next film project, "Nine," will hit theaters on November 25. Javier is currently working on the big screen adaptation of the popular book, "Eat, Pray, Love," with Julia Roberts.

When contacted by The New York Daily News, reps for both Penelope and Javier had no comment.

Racially charged Australian TV show skit offends Harry Connick, Jr.

An incident involving actor/singer Harry Connick Jr. during his appearance as a judge on an Australian variety show is causing an international stir. The evening turned tense when an act performed in blackface, prompting Connick - himself once entangled in the sensitive issue - to give some tough talk on-air.

The show in question, "Hey, Hey It's Saturday," is a bit of a cultural institution in Australia, having run from 1971 to 1999; Connick was on the show to judge a reunion special. The controversial skit involved five doctors, aka "The Jackson Jive," performing a parody of the Jackson Five. The group, host Daryl Somers told viewers, had performed the identical routine 20 years ago when they were medical students.

Here's the "Today" show segment on the incident. (Viewers should be aware that footage from the show and blackface skit is featured).

After a visibly uncomfortable Connick gave the group a "0" for their performance during the judging portion, the show cut to commercial, when Connick made his alleged abrupt exit. Back on air Somers apologized for offending Connick, a New Orleans native whose musical schooling came from many of the city's African-American jazz musicians: "I know that to your countrymen, that's an insult to have a blackface routine like that on the show, so I do apologize to you."

In response Connick said: "We've spent so much time trying to not make black people look like buffoons, that when we see something like that, we take it really to heart ... If I knew that would be part of the show, I probably, I definitely wouldn't have done it."

His stance has garnered praise but the publicity's also resurrected an ironic incident from Connick's own past. In 1996 he slightly darkened his skin to portray an African-American preacher when he appeared as a guest on the American sketch comedy show "MADtv." Some comments, as noted in this Movieline.com post, have turned heated, with Connick a target. “If you want a perfect example of hypocrisy, then look at this skit,” writes user Ranz Sunni of the YouTube clip of Connick’s sketch.

In a statement on the firestorm Thursday Connick spoke for the performers and himself: "Those of you who have seen my shows or seen me in several comedic skits on TV know that I have absolutely no problem with comedic send-ups or making fun of myself or others ... I do not believe that the performers intended any harm."

Gary Coleman arrested on an outstanding warrant in Utah

Gary Coleman -- and we assume his penis as well -- was arrested Saturday night and remains behind bars today.

Police in Santaquin, Utah, outside Salt Lake City, were called to the former child actor's home on a report of a domestic disturbance, but no evidence of a crime was found; he was taken into custody, however, because of an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant from 2009.

All this after Coleman, less than two weeks ago, settled a personal-injury suit with a man who said Gary tried to run him over with his truck in a bowling-alley parking lot. And it's not the first time the police have been called to Gary's place -- his wife, Shannon Price, was taken in last year and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

Anyone out there going to step up with Gary's $1,750 get-out-of-jail-on-bail bond? After all, that comedy club guy did post $60,000 for Andy Dick over the weekend.

Coleman: 'I was replaced by ugly body double'

Gary Coleman is urging fans to boycott his latest movie Midgets Vs. Mascots after accusing producers of using an "ugly" body double in his full-frontal scene.

The diminutive actor was furious after learning a scene in the 2009 comedy appeared to show him revealing all - and now he's threatening to sue the studio to prevent further DVD sales.

Coleman alleges he never agreed for his private parts to be revealed in the final cut - and insists the actor who stands in for him doesn't do him justice.

He tells EOnline.com, "I wanted all my fans to protest my penis being in the movie, because I didn't want that. It's a body double, I believe, because I certainly was not gonna do this. And I heard that the body double is ugly, and is unattractive, and does not make me look good."

The former Diff'rent Strokes star has had a rocky start to 2010 - he was hospitalised on Wednesday after suffering a seizure while conducting an interview on the phone.

Rip Torn charged with breaking into Conn. bank

SALISBURY, Conn. – Actor Elmore "Rip" Torn has been charged with breaking into a Connecticut bank and carrying a loaded handgun while intoxicated.

State police say the 78-year-old Salisbury resident was arrested Friday night after police found him inside the Litchfield Bancorp with a loaded revolver.

The "Men in Black" actor has been taken into custody and booked on charges including burglary and possession of firearm without a permit. He is being held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled for a Monday appearance in Bantam Superior Court.

Last year, Torn was given probation in a Connecticut drunken driving case and granted permission to enter an alcohol education program. He also has two previous drunken driving arrests in New York.

A spokesman for Torn did not immediately return phone calls Saturday.
