just end up in the 'next to croak' thread already, Dick.  right, Stefen?

Fo' Sho, *dapz*

Yo, anyone hear about my boy former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson taking the cops on a high speed chase through California yesterday? Homie was evading authorities driving a truck with his fucking face plastered on it.

Let's go to a motel. We don't have to do anything -- we could just swim.

Report: Christian Bale accused of assaulting mom

Batman star Christian Bale was to be questioned by police over allegations he assaulted his mother and sister the night before the European premiere of his film, "The Dark Knight," British media reported Tuesday.

His mother and sister reportedly complained that the 34-year-old actor assaulted them at a west London hotel on Sunday.

Britain's Press Association said they made the allegation at a police station in south England on Monday and that the allegation was passed on to Scotland Yard in London. It said questioning was expected Tuesday.

When asked Tuesday about the news reports, Scotland Yard said it was investigating an allegation referred to it by another police force but refused to say whether the incident involved Bale.

The Sun newspaper said police did not question Bale on Monday because they did not want to interfere with the premiere.

Bale's U.S.-based representatives did not immediately return messages seeking comment. Phone calls to Bale's London representative rang unanswered.

LaBeouf arrested for drink driving

Indiana Jones star Shia LaBeouf has been arrested for drink driving after an early morning car accident in Hollywood.
LaBeouf was the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash at 3am local time on Sunday at a street corner in Hollywood, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
He said it was clear to officers who responded to the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated, and he was subsequently arrested.
It is not immediately known what charges the American actor will face.
LaBeouf and his passenger were injured, as was the other driver. The spokesman said the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.
In February, the 22-year-old star was awarded the Bafta Orange Rising Star Award, which was voted for by the British general public.
Following LaBeouf's lead role in The Greatest Game Ever Played, Steven Spielberg last year cast him in starring roles in the films Disturbia and Transformers.

Actor Morgan Freeman is injured in car accident

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was injured in a car accident late Sunday night and is in a hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Kathy Stringer said Freeman, 71, is in serious condition. The hospital is about 90 miles north of the accident scene in rural Tallahatchie County in the Mississippi Delta.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams confirmed Freeman was in a wreck shortly before midnight Sunday, but said he was still gathering information and had few details Monday.

Clay McFerrin, editor of Sun Sentinel in Charleston, said he arrived at the accident scene on Mississippi Highway 32 soon after it happened about 4 miles west of Charleston, not far from where Freeman owns a home with his wife.

McFerrin said it appeared that Freeman's car was airborne went it left the highway and landed in a ditch.

"They had to use the jaws of life to extract him from the vehicle," McFerrin said. "He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point."

McFerrin said bystanders converged on the scene trying to get a glimpse of the actor.

When one person tried to snap a photo with a cell phone camera, Freeman joked, "no freebies, no freebies," McFerrin said.

The hospital where Freeman is being treated is commonly known as The Med, and is an acute-care teaching facility that serves patients within 150 miles of Memphis.

it's too bad that it didn't occur to Freeman to use his own narration to slow his vehicle down.
Obviously what you are doing right now is called (in my upcoming book of psychology at least) validation. I think it's a normal thing to do. People will reply, say anything, and then you're gonna do what you were subconsciently thinking of doing all along.

David Duchovny Rehabbing for Sex Addiction

The truth is out there, whether we want it or not.

David Duchovny has checked into rehab to undergo treatment for sex addiction, E! News has confirmed.

"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," Duchovny said in a statement released Thursday by his attorney, Stanton "Larry" Stein. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

The 48-year-old X-Files star—who, ironically, won a Golden Globe this year for playing an over-sexed struggling writer on Showtime's Californication—has been married to Téa Leoni since May 1997. They have two children together, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd Miller, 6.

"All of us at Showtime wish David and his family the best during this very private time," Richard Licata, the network's executive VP of Corporate Communications, said in a statement to E! News.

The second season of Californication, premiering Sept. 28, finished shooting late last month and 12 episodes are ready to go.

Though it may have been awhile, this isn't the first time Duchovny's sex life has turned into a talking point.

"I'm not a sex addict," he said in an interview with Playgirl in 1997. "I have never been to those meetings. It's hurtful to my family and if I was involved with a woman in a monogamous relationship, it would be hurtful to her.

"There was another story claiming I was a neat freak. If I had to choose one of the two, I think I'd rather be a sex addict. It's not funny and I'll be glad when it goes away."

Uncomfortably enough, Leoni herself quashed a rumor that her hubby was afflicted with a sex addiction back in May of 1998, telling Elle that she found the notion "very exciting."

"David was accused of being a sex addict," Leoni, who had been married for one year at that point, said. "Which I always found very exciting. And then I found out it wasn't true."

"Men are like bulls," she continued. "They gotta get the new cow. Maybe you've got to get the bull after he's had a lot of cows, so you might just be the last new one."

Story Highlights
Kanye West arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of vandalism
Spokesman: Camera valued at more than $10,000 was broken during altercation
Incident happened before West and his bodyguard cleared a security screening
West's bodyguard was also arrested
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Police say they have arrested Kanye West at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of vandalism after an altercation with a photographer.

An airport spokesman says police also arrested West's bodyguard shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Airport spokesman Marshall Lowe says early reports are that West got into an altercation with a commercial photographer and a camera valued at more than $10,000 was broken.

The incident happened before West and his bodyguard, who was not identified, went into a security checkpoint at the airport.

Lowe says police are continuing to interview witnesses and West may be booked later this morning.

A call to West's publicist in New York was not immediately returned.
