When I don't write what I should (MUST READ -ed.)

When I don't have a script or story to write I write these little insights.

I say 'insights' but much of it is quite unoriginal 'has-been-said-a-million-times-before' stuff and lots of it is just unanswered question.

I may sound like I'm full of myself but I enjoy writing it. I feel productive and that is what counts. But I'm really not :)

Jealousy. I this the first sign of losing oneself in a relationship? Real jealousy is never sweet, is it a sign of co-dependence? And what can you do about it? Is it a never-ending downwards spiral until the end of love?

Avoiding pretention is all about convincing. Nothing is pretentious as long as it origins from your heart. Your job is to convince the audience it does. If you fail you appear to only be searching for an effect. Shocking is easy. I don’t know how to convince. I spill my heart and hope people will believe me.

Love can be true but there is no such thing as True Love. “True Love” refers to soul mates, to the “only ones”. I don’t believe in that.

Happiness and misery love each other. You need one to have the other. A happy life is a roller coaster with lots of tears.
Life is a box (no chocolate in this one. Perhaps in yours, Thrindle) you carry around and fill up with things. Later your box will be full and you will eventually have to lose some stuff.  Some stuff you will cry about but with time you will see how much space you now have to fill up with new exciting things.

The meaning of life.
I’ve recently found a ‘meaning of life’ that works extremely well for me. I’m not talking ‘the meaning of Kotte’s life’. I’m talking about meaning generally. It all begins with Russell Crowe.
“What we do in life echoes in eternity.” Cheesy perhaps but it’s in that line I found my answere. We are all connected on this planet. Whatever you do affect people you know or don’t know that in turn affect other people and so on. The meaning of life is simply to be loud. To be as loud as possible. Whatever you do in life do it with all your heart and do it well. Be passionate. You need to be passionate to matter and live a full life. Be original.

Affect the heart of 10 people than the mind of 100. The heart is always good. It only have good things in it. People doesn’t know how to communicate with their heart, the assume things and this is where things go wrong.
Hitler, what he did, it all came truthfully from him. He did what he thought was best. If we look into his heart we see classic miscommunication between man and his heart. All he wanted was to protect his child. A monster still…but a monster with a heart.

I agree with your post.

I look for meaning in life constantly.  Too much.  And then I end up asking myself, "What's the point to all of this?".
When you make the meaning of life subjective to yourself, and understand that there is no right and wrong, peace is easy to attain.  Then meaning really is in your passion.
But when you've been trained to look at the world with value judgments and unsecurity, this outlook is hard to come by.

Nice post Kotte.
Classic.

Yeah well, perhaps. I never said it would make sense... :) It's not history class. I'm not even sure he had a child. Maybe all he wanted was to please his own father.

I encourage myself to fuck other people so I don't think that's a problem. But honesty is the key right?

Yeah right on Kotte ! And Pol Pot, all he wanted to do was protect his child. I heard his child had leukemia and some sort of Weird Scandinavian God told him : "Kill all the upper-class cambodgians and I shall free your son of the Leukemia Soul-Eater" so Pol Pot was like : "WEAK !!!" but he did it anyway cause he wanted to protect his child, after all it turns out his child only had this big rash so no biggie.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. What are you stupid?

I'm saying I don't believe in pure evil. Nobody acts out of evil. Evil people do what they think is best, what they believe is right. So to them thay are good. The heart is always good, the mind is often stupid.

When Hitler decided to take the life of 6 million jew he didn't do it because he had a desire to be evil. He did it because he saw a threat in them...a threat to what - we'll never know.
