stu is as great a guy to work with as any I've met. he's extremely humble and actually lets us determine the pace of the shoot. he understands the hong kong style of shooting in pieces and choreographing on the spot and really asks for nothing except for additional shots and inserts. I pushed the crew to top bourne style choreography, but we didn't have too much time so we kept it more simple. My stunt crew is very very austere about hits connecting, moreso than most stunt coordinators, and the trade off for the austerity sometimes is the simplification of choreography, especially when pressed for time and fighting for daylight. Stu is very good at inserting shots to keep the action moving. I've been hitting him up for advice on my film and stuff since then, and he's been invaluable. He knows everything about everything and makes amazing films. It's too bad his studio closed down, it's a sin.
