'Heatvision and Jack' could be one of the greatest works of art I've seen in ages.  Seriously.  Directed by Ben Stiller, and starring Jack Black, Ron Silver, the voice of Owen Wilson, and Christine Taylor, it was an abandoned TV pilot for fox that was just too damn insane for anyone to figure out.

The premise: Former NASA astronaut Jack Austin (Black) was exposed to harmful radiation by the sun and given the ability to be three times smarter than the smartest man on earth.  But NASA's evil and want Austin's brain, so he goes on the run.  His only friend is the talking motorcycle Heatvision (Wilson), and the two are pursued by astronaut/actor Ron Silver (playing himself).  While on the run, Heatvision and Jack solve crimes and stuff.

Seek this out!  It's wonderfully surreal and kitschy, a meld of old-school TV shows and sci-fi.  Way ahead of its time, I can't recommend it enough.  I saw this on a bootleg dvd, heard it's online someplace, so it's available somewhere/somehow.  If you track it down, you won't be disappointed.
