Cop shooting in front of my house (interesting shit)

I was sitting in my kitchen putting up my dishes afer dinner and i see cops lights in front of my house.  At first i was kinda worried because the cop car was literally right in front of my house.  I looked the window and there was a car next to the cop car so i just thought somone got pulled.  After further inspection, i saw the cop looking in front of his car at something on the road.  In front of his car was a possum as big as a fucking dog.  The possum was sitting, bleeding from the face, in a puddle of blood.  I assume that the possum might have gotten sideswiped by a car or somthing because it obviously wasnt run over.  I thought the possum was dead but i decided to go get a further look.  Me and my brother went out to get a closer look and the possum was still alive.  It was sitting there bleedin bad and kinda looking around.  I guess he was in shock becasue he wasnt moving much.  I decided the show was over and figured that the cop would call animal control and take the animal away.  I went back inside the house to get some ice scream.  I went to the window and looked again and there were now 4 cop cars now.  I saw my friend from down the street checking it out.  I decided to go outside and talk to him.  The four cops were sorrounding the possum and one went to its truck and got a broom.  The cop pushed the big ass posum into our front yard.  The possum was moving alright but looked pretty disoriantated.  One of the cops then told us to go inside.  I said bye to my friend and went inside.  As i was walking to the door i looked back and a cop got a shotgun out of his car.  One of the cops was goving me the eye so i quickly went inside so i could get to a window.  I yelled at my brother and his girl friend to come see and the cops kinda looked around to make sure noone was around.  The three cops covered thier ears while the other cocked his shot gun and shot the animal at point blank range.  We were all kinda startled because the whole situation seemed really sketchy.  We left the window and sat down on the tv room and started discussing it.  We were interuppted by another shotgun shot to the animal at point blank range.  That poor fucking possum got hit by a car, and took two shot gun blasts at point blank range.  That thing was a tough mother fucker, and it all happened in my front yard.
