Mr. Brown, worth money...

For those who might care to know, or who own the Mr. Brown cover of the Reservoir Dogs spec ed DVD, as I do, will want to hear this:

The other day, I went down to the local used movie/music store called Orbit.  I was browsing through their selection of used DVD's and I happen to notice they had Reservoir Dogs in that section.  It was the copy I had, the Mr. Brown cover as I stated previously, so just for kicks, I checked out the price.  To my shock it was $84.99!!!
I thought to myself "this must be some sort of mistake, a typo or something", so I decided to call it to their attention.  I didn't want to deny some poor shmuck the pleasure of owning the Mr. Brown cover.  So I went up to one of the employees with the DVD in my hand, and I asked him what the deal with high price was.  He said "oh, that's some rare copy of the movie, I think it's out of print".  My response was of confused jubilation.  I just laughed and said "cool", then put the DVD back.

I was thinking about selling them my copy and then buying the Mr. Pink cover or something, and getting like $30 extra.   I kind of want to keep it, though.  Understandably so.  I also have the now OOP Criterion DVD of Straw Dogs.  That went out of print on the first of Jan.
So, apparently, I ROCK.  8)

Finn:
Cool! I have the Reservoir Dogs Mr. Brown DVD and the Straw Dogs Criterion DVD too!

j_scott_stroup04:
Rock on, Sydney!
Although, oddly enough, the Mr. Brown DVD isn't worth shit on Ebay, the most expensive one I saw was like $25.  But it'll go up, and we can just laugh in the face of those who waited to buy their Res Dogs DVD and got stuck with Mr. Pink (which is a cool cover, but is the only one I ever see).
Bwahahahaha!

eward:
i am in the same boat as you two

bonanzataz:
