When do you want your trophy?

This will my 5000th post. I didn't want to start a whole new thread to celebrate or be self-congratulatory, but I just wanted to mark this point by just giving a brief Thank You to all you - my fellow members. The reason I have so many posts is because I enjoy bringing you daily news and info on films, DVDs, etc. and am made comfortable sharing my thoughts and opinions and stupid jokes with you. You have made me what I am here and I appreciate it wholeheartedly.

I have to express my greatest gratitude to Mr. Michael Wilson (XIXAX). He made me a Admin when I didn't ask to be one. And it's not the so-called 'power' or that it fed my ego and I felt 'better' or 'bigger' than anyone else, but it showed me that I was accepted and was given a great responsiblity because of who I am. And for that I am forever grateful.

I wanted to place this post here because I think we all can agree this site is much more than just a message board.

good for u mac. i for one am glad that u've stuck around this long. i think what i like most about u is that ur not a psycho.

for that purposes you have godardian, MacGuffin, and i'm sure more members but those two come in my mind first. And yourself - or precisely your own mistakes to learn from. I know i improved my english(or maybe got more skillful to avoid weak points)

On this board, we're all assmunches at one point or another to someone.

If people perceive me as being a bitter person, then that's fucking hilarious and I applaud anyone who's that close-minded.

Amen. We all eventually take a trip to the learning tree. P took me by the hand and guided me there once - then violated me behind a shrub. Best Xixax Xperience Xver.

...you took that insult like a right nancy boy.
Those who say that the totalitarian state of the Soviet Union was not "real" Marxism also cannot admit that one simple feature of Marxism makes totalitarianism necessary:  the rejection of civil society. Since civil society is the sphere of private activity, its abolition and replacement by political society means that nothing private remains. That is already the essence of totalitarianism; and the moralistic practice of the trendy Left, which regards everything as political and sometimes reveals its hostility to free speech, does nothing to contradict this implication.

When those who hated capital and consumption (and Jews) in the 20th century murdered some hundred million people, and the poster children for the struggle against international capitalism and America are now fanatical Islamic terrorists, this puts recent enthusiasts in an awkward position. Most of them are too dense and shameless to appreciate it, and far too many are taken in by the moralistic and paternalistic rhetoric of the Left.

 Yes, that was what I was aiming for. Funnier than me coming across as bitter, apparently.
