1950... weightlifter immigtates to the US... he quietly makes his way into the mainstream by hiding his roots... (as a Nazi)  Eventually he becomes a staple of the community and runs for mayor of his lazy town.  During the mayorial campaign, evidence of his Nazi past comes to light... starting a debate that divides the town. Think of Welles'  "The Stranger" updated with a California type weightlifter.

Arnie winning California makes it as about relevant as next year.  There's a deeper seed in there.  Where does the fear lie... then AND now?
