The Leader of the Homeland
Jeremy Blackman:
Dennis Kucinich
started the anti-war movement in the house
is probably one of the most left-wing democrats in existence
is ridiculously idealistic
wants to cancel Bush's tax cuts
wants to cut pentagon spending
wants universal healthcare and preschool
wants to get rid of nuclear weapons, 'theirs' and 'ours'
wants to recreate the economy based on the environment
is passionate and articulate, yells a lot
made Jeremy Blackman cry
gets Jeremy Blackman's seal of approval :yabbse-thumbup:
will die in a plane crash two weeks before the election
John Kerry
voted for the war on Iraq
sounds fake
has taken no PAC money so far
is ugly and good-looking at the same time
is a friend of John McCain
was an anti-war Vietnam vet
has eyebrows that are manufactured to fit his smile
will win the democratic nomination
John Edwards
voted for the war on Iraq
has the same name as that one psychic guy
is inconsistent and slippery
raised more money than any other candidate
has been bought by the Israeli lobby
looks like Michael McKean sometimes
Joe Lieberman
voted for the war on Iraq
is more pro-Israel than anyone on the planet
looks like he doesn't get enough sleep
is against the separation of church and state
likes the death penalty
is an intensely boring human being
is one of the most right-wing democrats in existence
Al Sharpton
is undecided on many issues
has ideas without plans
is easily confused
exists in the palm of Jesse Jackson's hand
is homophobic
is probably the worst possible African American that could run for office

There will be another war before (or during) the election, so the chances don't look great.
If the Democrats have someone radical like Kucinich, everyone left of center (from moderates to Greens) will be mobilized. If some middle-reaching hack like John Kerry is chosen, the Greens will run a candidate (who I will vote for), swing voters will default to Bush, no new voters will be created, and Bush will win in a landslide.
I should have mentioned Howard Dean, Bob Graham, and Dick Gephart, but they're so incredibly similar to Kerry and Edwards that there's no point. And I could have mentioned Carol Moseley Braun, but as a radical, and an African-American woman, she will never win.
