QUENTINS TOP 10 OF ALL TIME

(1/16) > >>

modage:
just in case anybody hasnt seen this list.  i thought you tarantino fanatics might be interested to know the mans Top 10 (well, technically 12).  but if you wanted to get a hint of his influences here they are...

-THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY (Leone)
-RIO BRAVO (Hawks)
-TAXI DRIVER (Scorsese)
-HIS GIRL FRIDAY (Hawks)
-ROLLING THUNDER (Flynn)
-THEY ALL LAUGHED (Bogdanovich)
-THE GREAT ESCAPE (Sturges)
-CARRIE (De Palma)
-COFFY (Hill)
-DAZED AND CONFUSED (Linklater)
-FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH (Chang)
-HI DIDDLE DIDDLE (Stone)

interesting that Howard Hawks is QTs favorite director.  this list is from Sight and Sound.

SHAFTR:
I think it is hilarious that he voted for Coffy on Sight & Sounds list.

modage:
yeah, it is.  but its kind of cool that he doesnt try to put on a snobby like "foreign films are the only films" type thing and just gave his HONEST top ten favorite flicks.  very cool.

Keener:
On Charlie Rose, he said Blow Out (De Palma) was one his three favorite films of all time so hmmm. I personally hate Blow Out but that's just me.

modage:
yeah i actually heard that too. its weird he didnt submit that to the Sight and Sound poll then huh?
