“The Matrix: Reloaded” (Warner Bros.): Studio sources have confirmed to FilmJerk.com that a 30-second teaser for the next installment of “The Matrix” franchise will premiere at this year’s Super Bowl. When the original teaser debuted at the 1999 event, it was heralded as the break-out winner among the films competing—no one had heard of it before that time. Look for the teaser here to ratchet up awareness as well, and stroke a fervent fanbase."

hurrah.  sphinxadamus was right in his prediction.  i think it's the 26th of this month, or something

It'll probably be in the 4th Quarter with 2 minutes left, but I'm not leaving my TV until I see it.

For those who missed it, Newsweek featured the Matrix sequels in a recent issue. Be warned, *SPOILERS*

Thinking back, I wasnt too impressed with the Matrix at the time, but now I am remembering it to be pretty good. I think Im going to give it another shot, I am kind of excited for the sequel. Its like a new Star Wars coming out before the Phantom Menace

I didn't care for The Matrix when it came out either but am excited for the sequels. For some reason, I think it will be a dissapointment of sorts when I see the movies and realize the most depth these movies can accomplish is the different ways they can shoot a gun at each other. The deeper meanings seem to be fan boy interpretations that are ignorant of the massive action littered through out the movie like sex in a porno.

Snore.  I'm still amazed at the popularity of the Matrix.  I just crack up thinking that the biggest computer geeks can be the next messaih, according to this movie.

The Matrix just screams to me, "Hey, computer nerds are cool!"  It's the same principle Kevin Smith uses for comic book collectors in his movies.

The Matrix is a creative action movie, but that's about it.

Then that's saying a lot. The words 'creative' and 'action' aren't usually used in the same sentence.

I'm most excited to see the effects in this one. It'd be hard to deny that The Matrix originally broke new ground with effects with the whole (now overused) bullet-time thing.

Silver said something to the effect that they've raised the bar so high that he thinks no film will ever (at least in the forseeable future) break the level of effects found in the new Matrix movies. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high.

the new one is called 'time slicing'.  i'm sure xixax will remember my wachowski brothers mix n' match chart, where you can make your own quotes regarding the matrix 2.

I just saw Bound, the first film by these two directors, and it is an amazing crime thriller. It made me realize why Elvis Mitchell once called these guys the next Martin Scorsese, but for the time being, they want a different legacy.

These guys are very good at what they do and I think their post Matrix career will be very intriguing because the thing with them even making movies was to make this trilogy so you can only wonder what they will do after this.
