The L etters

Ok guys, so I wanted to post this way before but I've been busy.
This is a film I produced this year. The first one where I'm top producer where I'm not director, and the first film made by the producing company where I'm partner (my own movie psychotropic is "officially" the first one but it actually existed before the company).

I'm separating the first letter of the title and leaving out the name of the director here as I prefer he doesn't come here and start discussing his own movie, as I'm sure he surfs the web every day looking for mentions of his film, ha.

It already world premiered in Copenhaguen's CPH:DOX festival in the international competition. I don't know if anyone was there...sadly I couldn't post this before...I went there and had a great time.

Today and tomorrow it has it's italian premiere at the Festival dei Popoli in Florence, in case anyone's around. Here's the link: http://www.festivaldeipopoli.org/en/festival/festival_sections/2015/155

Also, today and on the 4th of december we have our portuguese premiere in the Porto Post Doc festival in well, Porto. This is the link with the info: http://www.portopostdoc.com/home-en/festival-en/2015-en/view-en/?id=143

I don't have the exact dates yet but the Transcinema festival of Peru will hold our Latinamerican premiere, it happens between the 4th and the 12th of december.

The mexican premiere will be in february.
It would be great if anyone can take a look. I'll keep posting as more festivals or showings come up.

Should have posted this earlier too...there are some official reviews around...

"Behind the dark, sensuous and almost hallucinatory images, a grim story is smoldering about a school teacher and social activist, who after a questionable trial was convicted for killing seven police officers in a Mexican province. The letters he wrote from prison are a fierce indictment against a corrupt system in a film that almost without dialogue manages to be a sensory and psychological portrait of both a place and a state of mind. (The director) has made a striking and all-absorbing film in the visionary mode of the wave of younger filmmakers, who in recent years have experimented with transcending the traditional constraints of documentarism in favor of a sensorial and suggestive practice without losing sight of its political and social relevance for a second. Just like the letters to his daughter and son instill courage for continued resistance, 'The Letters' is a film that inspires one to a renewed faith in that documentary filmmaking is first and foremost an art form."  (From the catalogue of CPH:DOX)

So far, the only confirmed showing in the US will be on march 26, 2016 during the Chicago Filmmakers screenings.
A little early, but here's the info:

anyone want to see this and/or a bunch of other interesting mexican films?
festival scope is showing for free a few of the official selection movies, including this one, until the 5th of november.
here's the link for our movie, and I'd also recomend tempestad and speaking tongues, of what I've seen.
