Got into NYU Film. Any Experiences?

Have any of you or does anyone know people who have gone to NYU for film production, and knows how their experience was in school and afterwards?

If anyone does and could get me in contact that would be awesome.

I can't really help you. I'm just someone from Sweden who thinks New York City is the greatest city in the world (even tho I've never been there) and envy all people living there.

Oh, but I'm gonna travel across the country for an interview for a Swedish film school tomorrow. Hope to come in but dosn't hope for to much.

I am totally aware of the fact that so many of the greats (including my favorite PTA) have dropped out, but most of them also had connections in the industry. Coming from a person with zero connections, I was wondering how NYU caters to a person in my kind of predicament.

Me too. I mean, I live in the state but that place seems like its a million miles away. So expensive, hope I can manage to live there one day. Where you at Cloudy?

I actually decided I'm gonna go to Berkeley for architecture. I'll be doing film for graduate school.

Reelist, I live in Cali, but I didn't decide based on distance or money. Realized Berkeley architecture can give me a distinct lens that I can apply to film.

Pete, thanks man. I actually reside in SoCal, so I'll be migrating to the Bay in August. I think I'll definitely take you up on that offer! I'll be posting the short film I sent to NYU soon for you guys to see.
