I just saw this on the Fox Movie Channel and it totally caught me off guard. I started out just cleaning my room and as the story kept scanning through all these characters I got roped in and couldn't be any happier that I did.
There are some great racial commentaries in the film that are obvious, but nevertheless caught me off guard. When the police stormed in and immediately handcuffed the black man, i couldn't believe it. Not because it's a radical action, but just because it's a brilliant subtle truthful jab for then and today. Anyhow, in my personal opinion this film holds up very well today, it really took me for a ride.
Has this already been remade? If not, how long until it gets remade?
