Rented Incident at Loch Ness and Downfall on Saturday... didn't have time to watch Downfall.  I have to return it in an hour..

Currently from Netflix: Au Hasard Balthazar, Breaking the Waves, To Live and Die in L.A.

Squints, I watched Stray Dog today.  Very good film.  On the surface its a thriller but its also an examination of post-war Japan.  I don't think you'd be disappointed if you bought it.

Terrible cover. Great film.

i just realized that i haven't rented a movie in over two years. Probably because if i ever have the money to pay off the late fees, i'd just rather spend it on a criterion.

this is normally where i would tell you to get Netflix but since they refused to send me Capote all week, yeah.  fuck em.  just blind buy your criterions...  :yabbse-undecided:
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
