New trailer.
That said, this trailer does make it look a lot better than the old trailer did.
I'm alittle confused by this: isn't the new trailer almost exactly the same as the old trailer? Or did I miss something there?
The only noticeable difference comes at the end, when the trailer barrages you with all it's excellent reviews. I saw nothing that sold this movie as anything different or better than the last trailer did.
That said, it's probably just me. I was never crazy about
Brick, though I did find it enjoyable. It was cute and clever, and that's exactly what I see here, again, and nothing that I've seen or read so far leads me to believe it will be anything but "cute and clever." Which isn't neccessarily a bad thing, as long as it doesn't get too carried away with its cleverness.
I'm afraid I'm beginning to sound like GTlite...
All that to say, I'll probably end up seeing this at some point, and I hope that it's hopelessly entertaining because I always hope for the best.
We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. The images had dated, they jittered, and Marilyn Monroe had gotten terribly old. We were sad, this wasn't the film we had dreamed of, this wasn't the total film that we all carried around inside us, this film that we would have wanted to make, or, more secretly, no doubt, that we would have wanted to live.
