The results are in!

Important: Please do not send in your final ballot yet. We will start that final step of the process in a few days. Thanks to everyone who voted, and thanks to the admins for all their work! We did, however, have a pretty low turnout, even by Xixax nominations standards, so let's hope people really turn out for the final vote.

Note: We're no longer accepting ballots or corrections to ballots, since the results have been announced.

Either this is "April Fools," or Xixax I never knew you.  How pathetic.  At least this reinforces how terrible a year 2005 was for films.

What's even sadder is I can't see how Crash won't win best picture.  If it was strong enough to get the nominations, all the other films will split the vote because of their mediocrity (no one recognizing The New World for what it is).

Tarnation was up for best documentary last year, BTW.  It sucked then, too.

Yeah, I wish it were an April Fools joke. Let's just say we were more than slightly disappointed by the turnout, evidenced in part by the absence of the PTA fanbase. (Where's PSH??)

There's no way Crash will win best film. The backlash will reverse that, and I predict we will rally around The New World. Don't worry. (At least that's what we should do at this point.)

Wow, I don't know how we missed that. (We were in a bit of a rush to finish counting today.) It has been replaced with the documentary that recieved the next highest number of votes.

I'm most surprised by these.  Network didn't even come out in 2005!  What the hell indeed.

And now is the time I am sorry for not voting.

Sorry.

If everybody decides to not vote for the actual awards, can we strike the nominations from the record?  Just say, "No awards this year," and call it good?

If this isn't a prolonged April Fool's joke, then I'm voting for Crash for best film.  That's right, I said it!  Let Xixax bear the mark of shame for what it has done, or sat idly by and let happen.

JG

my first thought is that we should call it off.  this isn't how Xixax should be remembered.  Can't we do an override vote or something and get the nominations wiped?

BEST SUPPORTING MALE PERFORMANCE
Ben Chaplin - "New World"
this is worse than when kirsten dunst was nominated for eternal sunshine.  he was in the movie for like 5 seconds!
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

life_boy

The nameless, faceless masses rallied together in support of Batman Begins, King Kong, Star Wars and.......Darwin's Nightmare?
