asian films...

I'm not that into the sixth generation.  I think beijing bicycle is alright, but I think the sixth generation went to pretty much two extremes--you have either toned-down Wong KarWai-esque city escapades like SuZhou River or Green Tea Leaves or you continue the simple, soulful movies about simple soulful country folks, like Postman in the Mountain.  Nothing has blown me away yet.
Lily ChouChou was cool.  The soundtrack was amazing.  But I dunno, is there more to "get" from the movie?
