squints

Now you listen to all the songs and tell each other if they're good or not.

I'll be doing so in the coming days.

So far I have heard half of squints mix and it's quite good.

But....i haven't done one....because i know if this were a competition...i would win.

i do have a list that i made while sitting in traffic the other day. i'll put it up in the next couple of days. EDIT: I guess I'll jump in on the next "theme"
"The myth by no means finds its adequate objectification in the spoken word. The structure of the scenes and the visible imagery reveal a deeper wisdom than the poet himself is able to put into words and concepts" – Friedrich Nietzsche

P doesn't know who people are.

I've downloaded everybody's playlists so far, but haven't had a chance to listen to any of them yet.  Looking forward to it, though!

I've been really liking Cinemanarkissed's compilation. Lots of new stuff I'd never heard of before, and a pleasingly consistent vibe (a virtue I've completely avoided in my own, despite nominal thematic coherence). Particularly enjoying Toro Y Moi, Delorean and Tanlines; and to find Newsom sampled in The Roots was a pleasant surprise!

Am now downloading the others, though Picolas' link seems to be broken...

If I was a girl, I fell in luv with all of you. Has anyone besides Sofia Coppola ever made a movie where she falls in love with everyone?
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

I know I'm late to the party but I just want to say this is an awesome idea and I've spent all work week listening to Cinemanarkissed, Picolas, Polka, and now Walrus and they are all fantastic. I'll try to make one this weekend.

if this were a competition i'd have to throw a vote in for picolas. that's one mothafukin' badass playlist. particularly loving the first 3 tracks and the nintendo course clear notion. oscar in love was a wonderful inclusion as well. i do love all the playlists tho, even children with angel's and cronopio sequel's. it's all about love.

any other stand out tracks or artists you were introduced to?
i gotta thank polka for putting that 'chariot' song by page france on his playlist. that's a very sweet song a would've never heard if it wasn't for his awesome selection.
