We all know about books turned into movies. But how many books can you remember that started out as a movies?

well, books to movies to book sequels written for movies?  Like Jurassic Park 2: the Lost World, Get Short 2: Be Cool, Hannibal Lecter sequels..etc.?

like those funny "official movie novelization"s you see at the supermarket whenever a big movie comes out?  like: 2 Fast 2 Furious: Official Movie Book.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

I remember reading Star Gate: the novelization and Rambo 2: the Novelizaion when I was younger.  In both instances they censored the cursewords (Star Gate people didn't even say "hell") but amped the violence.

but... those were all sequels to books that were books before they were movies.

2001 : Movie and book at the same time, yet different
2010: book to movie
2061: book, no movie
2069: Porn parody... no book
3001: just book again
