I've got this sneaking suspicison that Ratatouille will top out Persepolis for Best Animated Feature.

Do not fall into this trap when Xixax awards roll around.

it may have something to do with the fact that people have actually seen ratatouille. thanks for the mention though, i now know the film exists and will try and see it before voting.

He held on. The dolphin and all the rest of its pod turned and swam out to sea, and still he held on. This is it, he thought. Then he remembered that they were air-breathers too. It was going to be all right.

Obviously what you are doing right now is called (in my upcoming book of psychology at least) validation. I think it's a normal thing to do. People will reply, say anything, and then you're gonna do what you were subconsciently thinking of doing all along.

every list where Blood isn't number one makes me angry.  :yabbse-undecided:
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

jtm

yeah for real. and some had movies such as Knocked Up and Grindhouse above it. and some didn't include it at all!!

after reading this thread im left with one question: why didn't i love Zodiac as much as you all did?

i feel left out of something. i'm just not sure what it is.

:(

Lot's of really good films this year and a few great ones.

Still to be seen:  Michael Clayton and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

My two biggest disappointments of the year, in a "This could have been so much better" way are Spider-man 3 and The Golden Compass.
