This may come off as a STUPID question, and I don't know if it's sloppy writing or what... but how come when the episode of "What Do Kids Know?" ends and the credits roll... Claudia cry while looking at the television?
I would have figured that it was because she saw her father fall to the floor, and even though she lost him, she realized that he was REALLY sick. But she was snorting coke right when it happened.... or was that moment not at the same time?

jimmy fell way before the credits rolled, she's always snorting coke, she cried cos she prolly saw the fall, related to some of the frustration that Stanley had just voiced, felt the patheticness that the only way she can face her dad is on TV, was overwhelmed by the generally f*cked situation between her and jimmy gator.

She was crying probably for several reasons. Obviously she was watching the game show which reminded her of her dad enough right there but also because she's in a black hole. She's doing drugs and can't get away from the past. Everything just seems to hit all at once.
I always used to cry after gameshows when I was doing coke.

New to this site... and I was just reading this thread when I realised that most of the people writing are probably guys, I say this because none of you really mentioned Claudia's situation, other than being a drug addict. Think about it... Claudia's been sexually abused by her father, her family chooses to ignore the obvious (note her position in the close up picture of her and her family - she's in the back slightly shaded), she's considered a coke-head write off... Furthermore, when Jimmy Gator walks into her bedroom and she keeps asking if he's gonna call her a slut, it goes to show you what their relationship has been like previously. And to think, he's a television icon working with children... hmmm... wouldn't you cry too? I mean, she was his child.
