well it was better than Goes To Hell and Takes Manhattan, but it was no Jeepers Creepers.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

A fight between Radiohead and The Smiths; The Bride and Neo would be better than "Jeepers Creepers".

I misread the title...I thought it meant movies that were so bad they are good.

"There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave.
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high - water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back." - Hunter S. Thompson.

I liked Meet Joe Black.  :(

I agree with Notting Hill, though. Couldn't get into it, but I guess it wasn't horrible.

I thinh it's called "Eraser", with Schwartzenegger fallin out of the plane...and everything that followed. I really thought it's a parody. :?:

Classic awful Verhoeven: his 80's Dutch-motorbike-coming-of-age film, 'Spetters.'  There are multiple scenes that will leave you shocked, horrified, and falling out of your chair laughing.  It's insane and wonderful and total shit at the same time.

i disagree!  i think SPETTERS is a wonderful, fantastic film.  very misunderstood.  i think paul verhoeven's early work is very unique and wonderful.

P, is this a record?  A rebuttal after almost three years?  I am flabbergasted.

And Rudie: I think we both agree that the movie is wonderful.
