I'd just like to take this moment to retract my Honorable Mention to "Superman Returns".  I don't even remember doing it, and I don't know what the hell I was thinking.  I think perhaps I had finally just seen it, and the breadth of its awfulness had yet to sink in.  But fuck that movie.  Fuck it forever.

still have to see the death of mr. lazarescu, old joy, the proposition, syndromes and a century, eastwood's movies, shortbus.. all of which i think i'll like.

1.  INLAND EMPIRE
2.  Army of Shadows
3.  L'Enfant
4.  Half Nelson
5.  Children of Men
6.  Volver
7.  Marie Antoinette
8.  Old Joy
9.  Science of Sleep
10.  Little Children

pretty good:  fountain, block party, el laberinto del fauno, scanner darkly, (edit, 2/07) death of mr. lazarescu, brick
way overrated:  little miss sunshine, departed, babel

EDIT i hate having any of those top three over each other, lists officially suck.

EDIT 2 (april 07) - added the fantastic marie antoinette

EDIT 3 (june 07) - added old joy, moved brick to "pretty good"

...and on second thought, children of men probably wasn't as great as i initially thought.

Man, look at that list. I'm foaming at the mouth of the potential arguments we could have had.

I'm glad you still watch films. Review a little more often!
