I am somewhat in agreement here.   I sense I'm in the deep minority here, but the hyperbolic honorifics bestowed on some of this year's films (Get Out!, Dunkirk, Call Me By Your Name, The Florida Project, Three Billboards--all films which failed to entertain me much--leaves me extremely mistrustful of "universally acclaimed!" films anymore.  (This has been true--for me--for a few years now.)

i don't click article inks so i can't respond to that, but responding to your post you sound like a normal person who's really excited about having his own opinion. that's a good thing.
