i noticed that Richard Linklater's "Slacker" is now OOP on VHS and is no longer listed as a catalogue title on the MGM website.  are the rights up for grabs? could it go Criterion? i've always assumed it would get a lame MGM release someday, but maybe they let it go to a company that will do it justice.

I love how posters here are expected to go through every last thread, even those from a year ago on the topic they need a quick answer to.

Anyway, I feel CC's pain, I would LOVE to own this DVD some day but you can't find it anywhere.  There are petitions and rumors all over the place for Dazed and/or Confused so I'm sure that'll happen, but I couldn't care less about that one.

Well not to be a little bitch about it, but there's a Search function. The only reason admins get on peoples' cases is because they're trying to keep the place organized. If members made threads whenever they felt like it on something that already has twenty threads about it the other members are bound to get annoyed. Plus, it doesn't make much sense to keep twenty ongoing threads on the same topic, anyway.

But anyway, I still haven't even seen Slacker because of its unavailability.

Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
