I got Go and The League of Gentleman series 1. :/ I'm going to exchange The League.. with the recent Little Britain series though.

I also got a dvd player, how newbie of me. So I currently have two dvds. Does that make all you movie buffs sick? I'm going to do a huge dvd shop this week. What do you think are 5 dvds I should buy to start me off?

This'll do nicely...

The Perineum Falcon

Schindler's List: Collector's Edition
3 Women
The Leopard
Rushmore
(I know, I'm a bit late on getting this... I feel really ashamed)
Return of the King: Extended Edition

I'll more than likely pick up a few more after having my juicy check cashed sometime next week.
We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. The images had dated, they jittered, and Marilyn Monroe had gotten terribly old. We were sad, this wasn't the film we had dreamed of, this wasn't the total film that we all carried around inside us, this film that we would have wanted to make, or, more secretly, no doubt, that we would have wanted to live.

Hahah. How did I know PTA would come into this. I would quite like to see Hard Eight, would probably have to be imported though.
Boogie Nights just reminds me of watching sex scenes with my parents when I was 16 and being extremely uncomfortable about it.

I definately want to get The Dreamers and Rushmore, and The Ice Storm.

Gamblour.

Just got back from Wal-Mart and Borders, had gift cards for both:

At Wal-Mart

At Borders, they were having a buy 3 get the 4th one free

This was only 13 bucks! I got it for free, because of the deal, but geez, wasn't this ranked as the best dvd release last year by some people?? Great price for a two disc.

Saw this the other day in a class and it was great. And Jagger is the total stage machine. He's great. And, well, let's face it... Stones kick ass. Who cares about Hell's Angels or whatever their name was.  :yabbse-wink:
