since ive been gone i produced some hiphop tracks with a friend.
i didnt feel this video was completely worthy of a thread for original work, so i put it here.
it was filmed during work when we didnt have any customers, so my buddy is completely responsible for the video and recording, i just rapped and starred in it.

Jeremy Blackman

I really liked it, your voice in particular, and I'm not a hip-hop fan. I'll have to listen again to pick up more of the words. You should have someone make a better video.

This deserves a thread. Just give me the word and I can split it off.

Also, you are 300% less creepy without that long hair.

03

hahaha thanks. but its tied up in my hat when im at work ;/
split away if you like

Reel

I dug it. You spit hot fiyah! Never would've taken you for a hip hop dude.. You been doing this awhile? because that sounded a whole notebook full of lyrics. I like your voice a lot too. Lemme know when da album drop!

fanx mang. i've been involved with hiphop in different ways for a long time but only recently started spitting.that was actually my first song to write and record, and its about a year old, so ive improved significantly. i literally had no control over the video and was under the impression that none of the footage we shot of me in and outside the restaurant would have been used.but whatever, it's become almost a joke video for me now. however i do like the backwards shot of me jumping off my roof (1:25) and me setting a spraypaint can on fire (1:07). ive done a few local performances at hiphop get togethers and mardi gras, but ive taken a hiatus from recording since ive been without a car for a while, but i'll try to get some other traxx;

I thought the coolest image in the video is at the end when you're walking and then step down into the convertible, but the lyric "a man wakes up in his living room" doesn't seem to match that visual at all, you know? I think it'd be better suited to the song if you made some crazy outlandish video and then at the end show a man waking up in his living room after it all... Since your lyrics are so wordy and multisyllabic I think it would be beneficial to have more literal interpretations of them on camera, but I don't know...I'm not a director.

thats actually my miata that i just sold, which i feel is the opposite of a cool rap video convertible: the only directorial decision i made in my own video. none of the video matches the lyrics at all (except maybe me going backwards), when he was finished (the guy at the end is my friend that filmed the video recorded my voice and made the beat) i was like, dude, this video is horrible. i'd like to redo the entire song and video actually.

since im pretty difficult to understand sometimes, LYRICS:

the coldest winter solstice, different artifacts
the articles oldest soldier, cold shouldered cardiac
arrest causer, you'll be tested to pause him in the potomac
the light fondles the white ponds beyond the heart attack
the transition was put in position because
in the kitchen the woman in the white dress took out the dishes
and in the reflection of the spigot perplexing haunting visions
of cauldronisms, animals, parking tickets
i'm beyond digits, spawn long limits, build stanzas
magnolia trees i climb long branches
tiny ranches, the spines of the grandest dynamic pine trees
with nine gambits defying panic
the text is rampant, do you remember 97?
when the semblance of heaven was simply finding vinyl records
in the sectors of attics, erect and erratic
indirectly static, taking planted, half handed
sweet sativas, straight up out of the water feeder
and im about to heat the bottom feeders with mulatto features
pinata leeches, muscato breaches the sutures
i induce bleeding from the future
come face to face with medusas on a daily basis
dont turn to alabaster, blast her with a statement
a status, golden tiger claws and pisces hawks
spy piously from the highest of mountaintops

they speak backwards in riddles and arithmetic
glancing at jackals delivering the syllabus
syllables cultivate in patterns, death awaits in caverns
panthers and lanterns get shattered
higher than googaplex, equally complicated
cut throats break necks with feelings exonerated
hold your breath in the tunnel, lest the gas might choke us
as we search to the death for the last white lotus
the past life poets in dreams gave me aquatic charts
lessons on how to make weapons like hypnotic darts
poison machetes, cause the boys in the levee
will set off the alarms if they hear us from the frozen jetty
we made accomplices, mostly reptilian
broke bread with the savages in the forest pavilion
silly and serpentine, culebras apocalyptic
lived off the green, made tea out of eucalyptus
critters were prodigies, the way that it ought to be
occasionally showing traits of modern technology
in battle with shattered bone and splitting tooth
the man awakes and finds himself in his livingroom..

under the paving stones.

okay, I'll admit I didn't know what the fuck you were saying before, but I liked the way it sounded.

Damn I thought I was the first one to use medusa in a rap when I shattered P's ego (j/k)

I like that image, I can see it. You know what? It reminds of that scene in Spring Breakers under the pavilion...

That's just good.

Don't.Stop! Keep going...

Jeremy Blackman

Yeah, that is some great imaginative stuff. The whole forest pavilion scene stuck out for me too. (That part was discernible in the video too.)

03

thank you so much guys. very encouraging. i love you, too, p.

Love your voice, it's hard to sound unique in hip hop these days, but your approach is memorable. I would buy your album.
I'm not racist, I'm just slutty
