This german band is great. Anyone heard of it? The sing in both english and german.

Could someone fluent in german tell me what the songs;

Musentango
Dingsaller
Newtons Gravitätlichkeit

are about? Can't find the lyrics anywhere...

phil marlowe

don't know about any lyrics but this band is quite brilliant.

Ghostboy

I've always meant to get more into these guys...there's a song on the Heat soundtrack called Armenia that is just fantastic. Isn't (wasn't) Blixa Bargold a member?

mogwai

blixa provided the screams to the mummy in the erm... the mummy movies.

i own these mofos:

"silence is sexy"
"strategies against architecture 3 1991-2001"
"haus der luege"
"fuenf auf der nach oben offenen richterskala"
"kollaps" (listen to this if you want a heart attack)

a friend of mine got a backstage pass to a recent concert in stockholm. i'm so jealous.

My favorite Neubaten song is Kraftwerk's "Metal on Metal."
""Money doesn't come into it. It never has. I do what I do because it's all that I am." - Morrissey

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."
