I'm loving where they're going with Vince this season.  And I know I might catch hell for saying this but Johnny Drama is moving into Kramer territory for me.

Only three more episodes left?  :yabbse-undecided:  :yabbse-angry:

That's twelve episodes for S-3, I thought they were gonna make 22, or so said kal...

I don't know where he got that but I don't think HBO has ever done more than 13 episodes in a season for any show.

Fernando

They did for S&C, 18 eps. on several seasons and 20 on its final season, although it was a two part season.

Oz had 16 on its 4th.

This damn thing it's a half hour show, they should make the season longer.

they said they did 22 or 24 together... but of course the fuckers decided to release them in 2 parts... always the same thing with HBO, same as they did with Sporanos before or the last season of Sex & The City... just keep the bastards hooked, waiting and paying...

I think the reason why they are calling it a two-part 3rd season is that the rest of the episodes will air in January and not next June.

I very much enjoy the show, but I think keeping it short and sweet and the episodes few is a very good idea: each episodes very much coasts along in the air and never really touches the ground, if anyone knows what I mean, and I feel like any more development in any department will rob the show of its cool and charm.  every episode is like an illusion, and they have utilized the thirty-minute, twelve episode structure well to maintain the illusion, I feel like anything longer will force them to debunk their hollywood powerplay myths and delve into real human territories, which is so not the reason everyone watches this show.  I mean, that's what glamour is; a short-lived illusion.  too much fetishization of the glitz turns it pornographic, and too much realism makes it cynical.

edit: nevermind, I just caught a few more episodes of it, and it is very pornographic.

really?  ken leung didn't look very much like that guy in the show--you talking about the same guy in saw and squid and the whale on top of like a million other things?  I thought he was a new york based TV guy.

This has just started airing in the Uk and so far I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It's most definately a guilty pleasure, though. Perhaps if the episodes werent so short it wouldnt be that way. I often feel an episode is just getting somewhere beyond the glitz (only with Eric) and then it ends and resets.

I was also glad to see the "Dead Head" from Freaks and Geeks again as Eric's potential love interest.

'Entourage' gets 12 for Season 4

The boys are back on HBO. "Entourage," the comedy series featuring young men on the make in Hollywood, has officially been granted a fourth season that is expected to unspool early next year. Twelve episodes were ordered. " 'Entourage' is a standout hit for HBO," HBO Entertainment president Carolyn Strauss said. "Thanks to a terrific cast and razor-sharp writing and directing, this smart, funny show has become a genuine phenomenon." Executive producers of "Entourage" are Mark Wahlberg, Doug Ellin and Stephen Levinson.

I haven't seen this until recently, but I keep reading that it's hilarious and really solid, so I checked it out.

Is it really that entertaining to watch rich stoners have stupid conversations and whining to be taken more seriously?
