Refn mentioned this in an older interview so I looked it up. Thought it was really well-directed and supremely creepy...has a bit of a Gus Van Sant vibe going on. It's one of the better short films I've seen.

Directed by Carter Smith (The Ruins) -- he has another short film from 2011 called 'Yearbook' which people have likened to Black Hole but I can't find it online, seems to have only played the festival circuit.

Anyway check this thing out it's worth a half hour...

A small-town loner's fascination with the new kid in town leads him into something much more sinister than he could ever have imagined.

without Wilderesque the internet would be a cesspool

YEARBOOK is amazing and is 100% an unofficial adaptation of BLACK HOLE

The editing during the last two minutes is a bit of a mess, but it's a creepy, well-made short.

I saw this years ago and I never forgot it. Totally creepy. I was a bit surprised to see this thread, as I rarely ever come across any discussion about this one.
