I really liked it.  It had a real retro feel, but sometimes it felt a little pushed.  

The scene where Gangster #1 is torturing another guy is amazing.  I guess you didn't make it that far.  

See it for Paul Bettany, not Malcolm McDowell.

i don't know if i really think vanilla sky was the best movie of 2001, but at the time it was the movie i had the most passionate reaction to. i haven't seen it since.
